Sara "Scare-a" Palin
One one my favorite authors, Sam Harris, wrote the following in Newsweek. I highly recommend it.
Great article Dr. Heathen. It was dead on, and articulated the thoughts of every person in the country who is even remotely serious about this election. I totally agree with the point that nothing in Palin's background suggests (even remotely) that she should be in a position of World leadership, and that the degree to which she allows religion to affect her policy and decision making makes her very, very dangerous. I can not believe that McCain was so reckless that he put this ill-prepared, unblinking, quick-triggered woman in position to run the country.
You know what really pisses me off? Creationists, zealots, people that have strong opinions on subjects they've never investigated, people that get all their "news" from Fox, people that think it's funny to buzz cyclists, $4 loafs of bread, $5 gas, "strict constructionists", John McCrusty, Neocons, people that don't use turn signals, people that leave garbage in shopping carts, litter bugs, cigarettes, Hummer SUVs, weather over 95, weather under 60, potholes and people that leave food particles in the sink at work where there is no goddamn disposer.
I'm a "strong atheist" which means I assert that there is no god. I enjoy discussions on politics, religion, cycling, science etc. I'm politically progressive and enjoy reading, riding, cooking, family, friends, BBQ, Beer and most especially margaritas!
